A presentation by the Irish Peatland Conservation Council on the future of Irish bogs with a special emphasis on the bogs around Portarlington. The talk will take place in the newly renovated Market House and there will be a talk on the history of the building before the main talk commences. Light refreshment will be provided after the event courtesy of the Laois Heritage Officer. Car parking is available in the public car park adjacent the the Peoples Park on the relief road.
